Speedyrails provides free DNS hosting for your domains that use our cloud hosting, email, or CDN services. You can easily manage your domains' DNS zones from within the Speedyrails Manager after configuring your domain to use our name servers.
Add a New Domain
To add your domain to Speedyrails:
- From the Speedyrails Manager, click Services > DNS Zones to open the DNS menu.
- Click Add New Domain.
- Enter the Domain Name (e.g. yourdomain.com, yourdomain.co.uk, yourdomain.io).
- Click Add Domain.
Once you add your domain to Speedyrails, continue to the Zones section where you can configure your DNS Zones.
Configure Your DNS Zones
Once you add your domain to Speedyrails, you will have the ability to configure its DNS Zones from within the Speedyrails Manager.
To add a DNS zone record:
- Click Add New Record to add a new A, CNAME, MX, or TXT record.
- Fill in the record information.
- Click Add Record to add the record to your domain.
Set your Name Servers
Once you have configured your DNS zones on Speedyrails, you must set your domain's name servers with your domain host in order for them to take effect.
Set your domain's name servers as:
ns10.speedyrails.com
ns11.speedyrails.com
ns12.speedyrails.com
To confirm that your new DNS records are working, you can use a tool like WhatsMyDNS to verify that the DNS changes have propagated.
Edit your DNS Zones
You can update and remove DNS zone records to your domain as needed from within the Speedyrails Manager.
Update a DNS Zone Record
To update a domain's DNS zone record:
- From the Speedyrails Manager, click Services > DNS Zones.
- Click the name of the domain you want to want to edit.
- Click Update Record to save the changes.
Remove a DNS Zone Record
To remove a domain's DNS zone record:
- From the Speedyrails Manager, click Services > DNS.
- Click the name of the domain you want to configure.
- Click Delete next to the record you want to delete.
Remove a Domain
To remove a domain from Speedyrails, click Services > DNS, and click Delete next to the domain you want to remove.
